Il Rotolo con Atti degli Apostoli della cattedrale di Sant’Eusebio a Vercelli è considerato un dispositivo concepito per conservare la memoria di un programma pittorico che un tempo decorava le pareti dell’antica chiesa, permettendo nel tempo il rinnovamento delle pitture danneggiate. Oggi il Rotolo è conservato nell’Archivio Capitolare della cattedrale ed è esposto nel Museo del Tesoro del Duomo. La sua importanza come fonte documentaria, insieme al rapporto con altri rotoli pergamenacei conservati nello stesso archivio, lo ha reso oggetto di indagini avanzate condotte dal gruppo di ricerca Videntes: A Multispectral Imaging Collective.
The Rotolo con Atti degli Apostoli of the Cathedral of Sant’Eusebio in Vercelli is considered a device conceived to preserve the memory of a pictorial program that once adorned the walls of the ancient church, allowing for the renewal of damaged paintings over time. Today, the Rotolo is kept in the Capitular Archive of the Cathedral and displayed in the Cathedral Treasury Museum. Its importance as a documentary source, together with its relationship to other parchment scrolls preserved in the Archive’s collection, has made it the subject of advanced investigations carried out by the research group Videntes: A Multispectral Imaging Collective.
